- After you clicked on the above plentyoffish account delete link, you will on a page which look something like this:
- As you see many links on the page, which basically focus on the trying you on stick with plentyoffish.com, or tells you to upgrade your pof account and some of the related data. If you’re focused on deleting your account these links or data doesn’t have any meaning to you. There are only two option that’s for you, they are hiding you profile for a certain period of time and permanently delete you plenty of fish account.
- Temporarily disable option or hiding your profile is not the best one for you if you are looking forward to delete pof account for ever. But this option helps to get you contacts, messages and your other pof account details back once you are ready.
You’ll likely get a pop-up that asks you to confirm the removal of your profile, so go ahead and click that too if you’re absolutely sure you want off of the site. Be forewarned though, once you delete your Plenty of Fish profile, you won’t be able to get it back. The only thing you’d be able to do is sign-up again and start over from scratch.
Now if you think that you might still want to use your Plenty of Fish profile in the future but need to take a break, like myself, then the other option is to put your profile into hibernation, hiding your profile, so that it is not visible to anyone else on the website. And then once you’re ready you can simply go back and re-activate the profile. If this type of thing interests you instead, then go to the same page and click on the link shown below, which is located about half way down on the same deletion page.
go to "edit profile"
then it says:
Edit More Registration Details like passwords HERE (click on "here")
next to "edit registration" is "delete account/profile" click there
scroll to the bottom and you have to type your screen name, and password, and reason for leaving.
hope this helps
